FMI consolidates their operations
Press Release
FMI has been operating as a niche player in the Insurance industry since 1995. After more than 10 successful years in the marketplace, they have firmly established themselves as one of the leading providers of Temporary Disability Income Protection in South Africa.
FMI has a defined strategy aimed at developing, maintaining and expanding key relationships, with both critical players within the financial services industry, and with each and every FMI Financial Advisor and their clients. These relationships have helped secure FMI as an important service provider adding value, not only to the end consumer, but to their partners in the South African financial services arena.
With a keen focus on service, FMI are constantly looking at opportunities to improve the customer experience. Whether through channel distribution, product development or operational processes, FMI strive to ensure that both the Broker and their clients are kept at the heart of their business.
"After some initial research we established that the Broker Model we were operating wasn’t as efficient and professional as we would have liked. This information, coupled with an international benchmarking exercise, helped us to re-assess our service model and resulted in the closure of our Cape Town and Johannesburg offices. By centralizing our team and having dedicated Consultants based at the Durban Head Office allocated to each Broker, we found that we were able to improve our national service to the Financial Advisor network. The new structure is working very well and we have received a staggering amount of praise from a few of our toughest ‘converts’," explains Simon Cordial, the company’s Managing Director.
"Our goal for the upcoming months is to persist with the growth and development of our Brokerage Network by continuing to invest in customer research. Our aim is that by the end of the year our Brokers will be as excited about our products and service as our company is in providing them," concludes Cordial.
