The second part of the journey was no walk in the park. It was no drive in the park either!
The team headed out to Salt Rock, KZN to meet up with one of our #21Lives clients, Damien, whose story – and hobby – got our hearts racing. Now I’ve been told not to give too much of each of the #21Lives stories away, but I can tell you this ones’ areal cracker.
Okay, before I go any further, I’ve got a confession to make. You’ll notice that you don’t see me in any of the pics! You see, I chickened out. One of Damien’s past times is dirt biking, which meant that we had to get to a seriously muddy dirt bike track. I just wasn’t made to withstand such conditions, so I got the story from the team when they came back, and I have to admit, it sounds like I missed out on an awesome day! That said, I’m a fancy bus that’s just undergone some real revamping, and I take no shame in admitting that I have actual nightmares about getting my paint scratched.
The filming went really well because Damien was just so incredibly willing to open up. We also had the pleasure of witnessing his entrepreneurial spirit in blossom. In fact, we got on so well with Damien that he’ll be dropping by the FMI offices for a cup of coffee sometime soon!
I can’t wait to get my tires back onto the tarmac and head towards the next story in Jo’berg!
Yours in life done better
