A1. All information requested from the Health Care Professionals, by FMI, is paid by the insurers.

A2. With the substantial cover levels offered by FMI Income protection products, it stands to reason that medical evidence determining the degree and motive for the extent of the disability is unavoidable. Cosmetic procedures, non-disclosed pre-existing conditions and conditions falling within common exclusions will result in further medical investigation; and although a highly qualified medical personnel assess each claim, FMI relies on neutral health care specialists to provide the necessary medical information to assess the claim.

A3. The claims assessors will assess each claim on its merit. They may call for further information, should it be deemed important to the assessment of the claim. In the event that a claim is accepted or rejected then a letter shall then be sent to the client to notify them of the decision.
